I know you're not supposed to mount sockets into skirting boards, but does this also apply to low-voltage sockets? There is a blanked-off hole in the skirting board in my office where there was obviously a socket once upon a time, and it would be an ideal place to fix my network connector socket without having to disturb the wall.
