Hi

I need to cut approx 12m of tarmac to pour a slab. A Stihl saw is £40 for a day's hire whereas a road saw is £60 and cuts deeper to 150mm. Seems a sensible idea and saves the old back.

Any thoughts or tips? The saw is a "one side only" which means one way I'll have to push up hill for one 3m cut. Is that doable with two of us?

The road saw is slow but deliberate. Not difficult to use. Fill the water tank and make sure its running. Road surfaces take some cutting. Don't bother with a Stihl. We were able to remove sections of cut road trench tarmac in large sections with the digger. They just flipped over and broke.
