I have a Roberts (different model) that went like that after falling in the bath. I have dried it out but the fault remains. Shame, because it was my favourite. A rebranded Sangean.
luckily they are quite cheap second-hand on ebay.
there is a common fault on at least one model where the aerial breaks out of its mounting when rotated. Luckily it is easy and cheap to fix.
