Decided to take a few inches off the bottom of a bathroom roller blind due to some mould marks on the blind. Done this before for roller blinds but have never seen the type of bottom rail fitted to this one (see photo). After the struggle I had getting the rail off and cleaning the glue off, it seems I am going to struggle to get the blind back in this rail. Has anyone had any experience of these? It seems it might be easier in the long run to buy a replacement bottom rail that is easier to fit. There seem to be a few online but can anyone recommend any particular type?
I have added a picture showing how the blind fits to the bottom rail.

Use a round dowel or broom handle.
Glue fabric on as a bottom

That plastic strip that secures the blind to the rail looks like that used on caravan seams. Check out a camping/caravan spares shop. It comes in different widths and colours and just presses into place. Usually sold by the metre.
