I am unable to help with your questions, however recently I was looking for the difference between OSB 2 and 3 and found this information...

Four grades of OSB are defined in EN 300 in terms of their mechanical performance and relative resistance to moisture. These are:

OSB/1 - General purpose boards and boards for interior fitments (including furniture) for use in dry conditions.
OSB/2 - Load-bearing boards for use in dry conditions.
OSB/3 - Load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions.
OSB/4 - Heavy-duty load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions.

Joe 90 won`t believe it`s a sauna - he`ll be along ranting about sheds with beds

I used the Tile effect sheets on my summerhouse using exterior plywood, I felt OSB is not as strong as plywood but more expensive but you get what you pay for. Not sure if the heat from the sauna will warp the sheet(?)

Who wants a sauna anyway? Use it twice and then it sits empty. Turn it into a workshop.

Builder just finished last 2 colums To suport rear wall. There will be roof insulation from inside and I lower sauna ceiling room up to 2meter to hold the heat it will be built like a box with foil insulation to hold heat have box without roof in 3days will try to put roof tomorrow just not sure about roof joist if put 175x50 plus 18mm osb sheet and corugatet roof sheet highest point would be 2.57m trying to fit in 2.5m just to keep BR happy or can I put 100x50 ? Sorry last photo not clear View media item 54217 View media item 54218 View media item 54219

Not sure if you're having flat or pitch roof, if I remember rightly the tile effect metal roofing sheets pitch minimum angle is 10° (?)

If you use bigger joists then you have more room for a thicker insulation such as kingspan foil backed insulation.

Not knowing how you're going to do the roof, you may need to think about air-flow above the insulation via the soffit/fascia vents as the heat may create condensation problem

it wil be slight slope mono roof joist100x50, OSB 11mm ,membrane fixed with battens and then steel roof that will leave space for air circulation under steel or M I wrong ?

You're not wrong but I think if I remember the insulation requirements for flat roof is 120mm(?) To be honest I think it's best to have a word with your BCO because you can have a solid insulation but best to to get it right in the first place, even the maximum height can be misleading, below copy & paste, Woody on here will know more about this

Government Statement - Outbuildings and garages to be single storey with maximum eaves height of 2.5 metres and maximum overall height of four metres with a dual pitched roof or three metres for any other roof.

This is very confusing but here is our attempt to make sense of it. You cannot build a two storey garden building without planning permission. In the case of a conventional gabled roof the eaves height should not be higher than 2.5m. The planning portal makes it clear that the eaves height and final roof height are different by the thickness of the roof e.g. it is ok to start the "barge boards" at 2.5m and reasonably go over this to the total height say 2.7m. A hipped roof can have different pitches on the ends and sides but the eaves should not exceed 2.5m. The highest part of the roof should not exceed 4 metres in any case. A flat/sloping roof building cannot exceed 2.5 metres in height at the eaves. see mini-guide page 7.

In a sloping garden the maximum height measurements are measured from the highest point of the land on which the building stands. We have met situations where local planners interpret this in a different manner however our written communications with government confirm our interpretation to be correct.

Anyone wanting to traisp down to that dungeon every evening to go for a bath needs their head examined.

A workshop would be better. Or store the garden tools in it. You'd be a laughing stock if you did something like that in the country.
