i am working at a property that had the loft insulated recently. the installers used a spring loaded vent that fits between the laps in the felt, resulting in the felt being lifted at this point.
when sprung open the vent looks like an open mouth. the vents are easily fitted from inside the roof space and are a plastic construction. i guess this is supposed to allow air into or out of the roof via the roof tiles.
i have to vent a smaller existing roof (converted garage) at the same property and the bco said that if these vents are licensed then it will be ok to use them. the roof is a small flat topped hipped roof so removal of tiles will be awkward.
i will try and contact the inso' company but in the meantime a name or a link would be useful, please.
