I want to fit a roof window in my bathroom (probably Velux), the bathroom has a flat roof.
1/. Can I just go ahead and order any size, then make it fit when I smash the ceiling down and see where my joists are? I assume it's just a case of adding joists so they run along the side of the window frame?
2/. I only want a basic window (no remote controls etc) but it needs to be good quality. Should I go Velux or does anyone recommend anything else?
3/. Any other advice at this stage would be very much appreciated.
