I had a roofer install my trusses, sarking and slates, aside from having difficulty in getting him to finish the job.
The first problem is the ventilation on the base of the roof it hasn't been installed spotted by the arcitect. It's clearly marked on the plans. I buy the matierials for the job (he said he would advise me of what to get).
I would have thought every roof would need this and can't believe he missed it out.
He also fitted the roof extraction ventilation incorrectly well 3 out of 4. I showed him how it went together for the last one.
Is this normal?
He has 25 years experience as a roofer.
Has he messed up?
Has he shown incompetance?

If he used breathable felt then the soffitt vents wont be needed.
dont know what you mean by roof extraction ventilation.
