Roofing underlay

Hi,

Im doing a job where im going to have to disturb some of the roofing underlay/felt. Just wondered whether this stuff has ever contained anything hazourdous e.g. asbestos, fibreglass etc.
The roof was put on in 1984 if that helps?

Never made with asbestos AFAIK. Most older felts were british standard felts and were fibreglass based. I assume you mean underfelt under tiles?

Hi, thanks for the reply...yeah, i mean felt/underlay under stone slates in this case.
