I'm playing around with the idea of replacing my existing Combi with a new Combi. The idea is I purchase the boiler (I'm told it might be cheaper this way - won't get hit with mark ups) and get a corgi in to install it.

I'm trying to find out roughly how much it would cost for the installation. Would it depend on the make of the boiler?

You might get get hit with mark ups, but then you won't get any warranty from the installer either

If you have any problems you will have to call the manufacturers yourself and risk if it is an actual boiler fault, which if it isn't you will get charged about £175 call out fee, or pay your installer a call out fee to come and diagnose the fault so you can safely put a warranty call in.

You can't have it both ways.

As for a rough price, I would say between £750 and £1000 + VAT depending how much extra pipe work is involved, especially the gas pipe size if you go for a bigger combi.
