Hi
I'm replacing my bathroom and planning to put the basin in a different location & install a shower cubicle.

The basin will be 2m away from the soil pipe & the shower about 3m. Is it ok to have waste pipes this long?

Also I will need to direct the waste pipes through the joists. Is it best to run the pipes through the centre of the joists?

I was thinking of reinforcing the joists with some type of mental clips, do this exist?

Thanks for the advice

I could do with a few mental clips if you find some please lol.
You maybe talking about metal plate protectors to prevent nail/screw damage to pipework underfoot.
3m 40mm is the maximum run.
Put an antisyphon trap on the outlet.
Drilling through joists for waste pipes is not advised can you not run under or along side them.
Pete
