Just recently ( strangely since the BBC mess of the Jubilee) BBC pictures are breaking up and sound is intermittent. Other channels seem OK. I have a good aerial and can see the main Cornwall transmitter on the local hill. Signal strength is full bar on all channels. Does anyone else have this problem?

overload ? having it too strong has the same effect as a weak signal. try a 3db attenuator see if that improves it.
3dB may not make a visible difference. I'd try a 20dB variable attenuator.
Is your aerial pointing at the continent? If so, it could be foreign interference.
