Rust removal disc - what's the correct name

Hi Folks,

I've got an old 110mm grinder disc. It's about 1/2" (~15mm) thick and is best described as looking like a grey sponge made of hard plastic / nylon.

Had it a few years and no idea where I picked it up from but it's fantastic at removing rust from metal. Unfortunately it's died (disintegrated) anyone know the correct name for them?

I'd call it a Scotch-brite pad or disk (or disc) or mop

though there are probably other brands
