Hoping someone can help...

After redecorating and refurbishing our bathroom, we now have a problem.

The bathroom cabinet is steel but a can of cream in it has rusted and then water has got in the cabinet and we're left with rust 'dribbles' running down the wall below it.

I've tried normal wall cleaner but they don't shift.

Is there any way to wash these away?

If I need to repaint the wall (sigh) do I need to prep the stains in any way before over painting them?

Thanks as always

Graham

You could try lemon juice, or toothpaste as a mild abrasive but chances are you will end up repainting use a stain blocker first, lots around Zinsser Cover Stain or BIN would be a good choice I should think.
