Told them I was doing a bit of sight seeing today. They were happy enough and would be able to do a more extreme trail route. Last thing I want to do is feck it up for the others. Walked around the town and went up to the castle. Had some fantastic views all round. Waiting for them now at the restaurant and guess what? Another rear wheel puncture! I’ll see if I can load a video when I get home - I climbed to the top of a bell tower and rang this massive bell. I reckon the whole town heard it.

Finished, thank feck! I had a morning sightseeing in the town we stayed in last night and met up with them for lunch. They said that it was it and we set off back to their base but the feckers went off-road. Wasn’t too bad actually. Went up a bloody great hill and through a river where I filled my boots. Back at the hotel now. Out for a meal tonight and then home tomorrow.

I like to ride to places and see some sights or something of interest. Most of my mates are more hard-core and just want to ride flat out all day and see nothing. Last trip I went on with them from the U.K. when I had my big bike (FJR 1300) we rode from 9.00 in the morning till 9.00 at night for a week. Saw nothing! I sold my big bike and just joined them on fly-rides, especially if they were guided as they had to go at the guides pace. Trouble this time was that the guide was also more of a hard core biker than my mates!
