Firstly, calm down, secondly. In the eyes of the law they would have committed the same crime. Murder. The sentencing would be different because we understand their motivation ...and it can drive you to this kinda thing.

We don't understand Huntley's motivation...even is it drove HIM to do what he did.

we don't understand why Huntley did it.
I think we do :?

I think we all have the same potential, but we are able to apply our evolved minds in an act of self discipline (no longer an effort for most of us, but too much of an effort for people like huntley) for it not to emerge.

Maybe I don't know enough details then, was it sexually motivated?
...and is it he gave in earlier do you think, or the impulse was stronger?

Don't tell me to calm down!

You're trying to 'colour up' your statement here. You said, and I quote once again....
...if someone KILLED Huntley they would be no better than Huntley...
Don't try and colour that over with waffle. You have stated in an open forum that in your opinion, if one of the parents of those two little girls killed Huntley they would be... in your words.... 'NO BETTER THAN HUNTLEY'.

And you have the gall to tell me to 'calm down'!!! I'm f***ing seething!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh grow up Blas, honestly.
I have never denied I said that, I have always explained what i meant by it.

Both the people, huntley and the murderer of huntley are murders.
Plenty of people can see what I mean by that and I will not defend myself to the lowest common denominator.

not helpful skitz :?

Blas - you may well be better informed than me, but my understanding is that there is no clear motive and as such the murders were not premeditated. It is huntley's (and his partner's) subsequent actions that is so repulsive.

I am not gonna pander to someone who is looking for an argument.

If he wants to gloss over my point (a point you also have or agree with at face value) and wants to start getting shirty he can, but it is a bit pathetic to always be spoiling for a fight.

Either you have taken leave of your senses or you are an idiot.
It was Huntley taking and killing two little girls after doing god knows what to them that was so repulsive.

Interesting talk about 'evil'.
For example, no-one that is mentally ill should go to prison, they should go to a secure hospital...but can someone kill someone in cold blood and NOT be mentally ill??

you appear to have lost yourself in your own rhetoric.

...and this isn't part of their actions?...

skitz - telling someone to "calm down" and "grow up" especially over such an emotive debate isn't likely to help develop a rational argument. I've got a lot of time for you and the points you make (whether I agree with them or not), but not when you start taking it along a personal tete-a-tete route. :?

Please reconsider, not your stance, but the way in which you're communicating them.

Can you not read? He wrote susequent actions.

Dex...we're both being called idiots(well just you at the moment) and being sworn at, while I admit my reply to this is not that constructive, I think in conparison I don't come off the worse.

...no, it is a philosophical question.

no it isn't. you have forwarded the opinion that if the parents kill it is somehow justified, whereas above you state that to kill in cold blood is a result of mental illness. you contradict yourself.
