I want to connect a salus rt300 to my nearly new Gloworm 28, the instructions say don't connect 230 volt to unit, but thats what the voltage on the salus is, can anyone help? the boiler has 24 volt on it.

You misunderstand. The rt300 has a pair of contacts that are CAPABLE of switching 230 volts. They can also switch the 24volts.
The rt300 is battery powered, so just connect you pair of wires up from the Gloworm and away you go.

Thank you for the information, on my boiler it has rt then 24v then bus then t ext, and on the instructions for the salus, it says I should connect n/o to L and com to SL, I don't have L AND SL on my boiler, just whats above.

You're looking in the wrong side (24v) of your boiler. Look in the right hand side where the mains supply is. You will have another set of connectors.

Live (that has the supply to your boiler in) is your perm live
RT (room thermostat) is your return switch live

Yes you do. 24V is live and Switched live is the switched live RT.

Not correct.!!!! The stat goes between the RT AND 24v terminals.

Do not connect mains voltage to the stat and back to the boiler. !!!!

Edit. Curses, I see EFLI has it correct.

Im not an electrician, just wired a few 3 phase motors in my job and can put a plug on, so all this switched live and so on is gibberish to me, I have two wires from the Salus one has N/O (normally on) and Com, could someone tell me where to connect them, from the picture EFLI, has kindly uploaded.

Hi Guys, I have wired said salus 300 into the boiler, and it does work, however, the boiler keeps firing up in heating mode for a minute or two, the green light on salus receiver comes on, but the room thermostat is not calling for heat

No, theres no burner on, on the thermostat, the boiler has its own radiator on symbol, which does come on, but the boiler only fires up for a minute or two.
