I'm on my second one of these
Samsung Bespoke RL38A776ASR/EU Classic Fridge Freezer with SpaceMax™ Technology
after the first one failed after 6 months. Both fridge and freezer stopped cooling. Engineer diagnosed a faulty motherboard, replaced it but it made no difference and gave up. Samsung replaced it under warranty.

I've set the fridge to 4 and freezer to -19

I've noticed as the day goes on the freezer warms up and by late afternoon early evening it can be as "warm" as -5 and then overnight it seems to cool back down again.

My first question is why does this model not show the actual temperature on the display.
From what I've detected when you first plug it in or turn it off and on again it shows the correct temperature but after a few minutes it just reverts to displaying the set temperature i.e. 4 and -19. If it did show the correct temperature like older models I've had it would warn me by beeping that there was an issue.

I placed a freezer thermometer in the compartment to check this so when the freezer temperature warmed up to -5 the display was still showing -19
I turned it off and on again and sure enough the display for the freezer showed -7.

Both my fridge freezers had the same "feature"

My new one is only 3 weeks old so no issues with door seals etc and I don't constantly open the door either.

Can anyone shed light on this issue. Is it a know fault or some "energy saving feature" as it's marketed as highly energy efficient.

Thanks

Display usually shows temp each time door is opened.Otherwise displays set temp.

On my model, the display is always blank unless you open the door and it always shows the set temperature and not the actual temperature UNLESS it's just been plugged in or switched off and on again then it will display the actual temperature when you open the door.
It will do this for a few minutes then revert to the set temperature. I've tested this multiple times.

The actual temp is usually also the set temp , mine rarely shows any other temp as it’s very efficient.
You can only see set temp by pressing the +or- on the display .
So you are seeing the actual temp when you open door.
