Samsung Tab3 & SD Card

Bought SD card have formatted in tab3. Connect Tab to pc, I can see the sd card cant put transfer any files to it.
Took card out put in pc & can copy files, put back into tab3 I can play the files.
I have Kies installed on pc, it can see the tab I cant transfer using that, any ideas, done a lot of googling apart from people saying how crap Kies is cant see a fix. I don't want to remove the card from Tab every time I want new files etc.

Can't speak for the tablet, but I have a Samsung phone.

I have tried to use Samsung's apps but they fail. The calendar won't sync both ways, Kies fails to operate properly, so I have given up and used Google equivalents of the Samsung apps which work perfectly, no issues.

Are you using any Samsung apps?

Got the phone, I just connect to pc using usb & move stuff about as mass storage device.
