Please advise. Wooden skirting and door frames have have undercoat applied. Would p120 sanding paper be most appropriate to smooth prior to painting? Thanks.

120 is ok, just don't fight it... Lightly key it.
Is it oil or water based?
Hit any runs with a bit of worn out 80grit.
Dust off with a dry paintbrush.
