What is your timer switching? Sangamo have a high switching capacity, 20amp IIRC. If a 3 pin, then you will have a live, neutral and a switched live. Depending on which digital timer you choose, if the switching load is satisfactory You may need to link the live feed to the switch contacts, which is adequately covered in the instructions.
