There is a small leak from a pilot hole just below where the tiny copper tube from the pressure gauge enters the boiler.....the boiler is about 10 years old and fuctions really well apart from this...any ideas how to cure this...
thanks Jim tylee

Fit a new o ring if you are lucky...or a new reversing valve if you are unlucky.

Most people would cure it by fitting a new boiler of another make!

Then most people are stupid when its probrably only a 20 pence o-ring.....thanks for the advice

:D Jim.................

"Most people" who about your model know that thay have about 31 "O" rings and four pipe clips and they all can leak and most do!

I once saw one thrown out that was only two years old!

Okay i'll see if i can contact someone who's more familiar with this unit, generally its the diaphram which goes first as its in up and down mode all the time. followed by sensor in chimney, they are a reliable model and NOT known for o-ring failure...as are some models....

Jim........................

So now you're claiming "familiarity with the unit"?
When I get familiar with them, the relationship often ends in tears.
Some from the owner, some from me,
but mostly from the boiler and its O rings.
