saniflow problem. Guess the electrics shoudnt be underwater!

I have a toilet with a 10 year old sanisuite saniflow. It only pumps up around 12 inches to get the correct fall but it seemed to stop working this week as the pan filled up.

I took the toilet off yesterday to unblock it but couldnt find anything. this morning i have taken the top off the saniflow unit and the main chamber that houses the motor and the pcb board where the mains cable is connected up to is full of water (see pic). I am guessing this shouldnt be. Can anyone confirm?
