i have bought new pulleys, cord, parting bead and brush bead.... but now feel the job is a little too big to do myself! if i was to pay someone to do it what on average would i expect to pay per window? don't want to end up being fleeced!

Hard to say as it will depend on the size of window, location, access etc etc.... Best thing to do is get a few quotes from recommended or reputable local firms and take it from there. You could always update with your quotes as a reference for others on here.

This is an easy job for a fully trained carpenter, as they learn this quite early on. Phone around and tell them you have the materials and just want a price per window or per day.

To change the cord they will have to use a 'mouse'

basic overhaul shouldn't take much more than an hour once your chipenter gets set up and ready to go. so price will probably be based on time rather than per window. I'd probably want 40 for the first one and 20 each for the others though that could alter depending on an y repairs being needed to box itself
