Satisfactory bath trap??

Sorry, but if I could just pick your brains a little more...
does lowering the trap level give a better force/push (lost for terminology) of the water?
 
put it this way.

you got two bends that are 90 degree that are restricting flow speed, i would of used swept bends personally.

also your trap the water level is only about 1" from top of waste in bath
as with a lower water level should give you drainage.

and i find p traps better flow away than the one you have.

it all adds up. bit of trial & error
 
The trap has many many adjustments, if you move it around in place you could just about eliminate the 90 bends and acheive a good fall.You may have to buy a soket and some pipe. But looks like the guy left some under there
