SBR on plaster?

I need to tile around a bath & one of the walls is plaster. I’ve got some SBR to put on before but how exactly do I use it, the ratio & how many coats? The tub says allow 10 minutes for the surface to become tacky then apply as normal?

50/50 (half SBR to half water). One coat should be fine, you could apply two, it's simply to change to high suction background into a low one.

Tacky or not, doesn't matter for tiling.
