scanner plug

can anybody help . ive got a trust handy scanner in the book it says i need a parrallel port adapter ,not a problem the problem is what to? the plug on the scanner looks like a cross between a ps2 and a din exept it has eight pins does anybody know what it is called?

Could be specific to trust scanners, why not contact them direct http://www.trust.com/home/

This could be an apple local talk connector. In which case what you are after is a Din3/25pin din adapter. Hope this helps.
