I have a brand new stone resin shower tray that is scratched to death! The plumber took a wet wipe to clean it, he has scrubbed it in a circular motion and it's now all scratched from grit in the bottom of the tray. It's literally full of swirl marks.

Can anyone please advise me how to remove / buff the scratches? Is there a product I can use? I have use of an electric car polisher (buffer) is this a good idea?

My beautiful new bathroom has been spoilt by this and I'm so upset.

Thank you in advance for any good tips and advice.

There are a few videos/online guides if you search eg

From about 4.15 onwards.

There are plenty of kits out there but not sure if they are specifically for stone resin, so whatever you choose I would speak with the manufacturer to check it's compatible with stone resin unless the blurb says so. You could also speak to your actual tray manufacturer, not the supplier, they're likely to have some suggestions.

Baths and shower trays are often just white acrylic the acrylic in your case is probably just to give the surface a shiney finish
There are lots of different products that seem to do the same thing. Do a google search and when you decide on which one best suits your needs just try it on a small patch. I doubt you will make it worse. If you are reluctant to try it yourself look for a car detailer in your area they will usually clay bar paint surfaces to get rid of swirl marks. I suppose it will actually depend on how bad it is but I would have thought you should be able to polish them out one way or another

There is such a thing as a bath rubber.I still have one that was given to me in 1984 from a sales rep.
It works on acrylic baths so might work for you ?
