screed mix

i am looking to put a 50 mm screed on top of a concrete sub base.i will then put 70mm battens on the screed followed by 22mm t&g flooring.
what is the best mix to use for the screed? is it a dry mix of sand and cement with some PVA? cheers all

Why not just forget about the screed and use 120mm timber?

Screed is made up of 4 parts sharp sand to one cement and only enough water to bind it, i.e. so that it holds together when squeezed in your hand.
