Scudo 2.0 JTD EGR?

Hi all, I have a fiat scudo 2.0 jtd 16valve, 2001 model with 120,000 miles on it. Lately performance is down dramatically, and fuel consumption up as well. Seems no turbo boost (apart from very rarely with clouds of black smoke) but engine management light not on. Might this be the egr valve? If so how can I test or replace?

hi mte i had the same problem for 16 month it turned out to be intercooler blocked take it off flush out with diesel and i bet u thats the problem
