I hope someone can help.

I have a tenant that has a central heating/hot water system with one of these three port valves with the sd2701 actuators.

After the power has been off, this ceases to work, she still gets central heating but no hot water. Now she did have a central heating guy out once who reset it somehow and it took two minutes. I'd like to be able to do that rather than pay a call out fee every time this happens.

Can anyone tell me about this?

thanks

John

Can you remember what else is in the system, a timer/programmer for example?

When power is lost you would expect the valve to spring back to the hot water position and stay there, so it's hard to see how sudden disconnection could leave it stuck in the central heating position if it wasn't sticking there at other times.

Thank you for the reply.

There is a thermostat strapped to the hot water tank. There is an electro mechanical timer connected to the boiler.

That's all I can think of.

Thanks
