Hi all.

Have thick tiles hence have at least 10mm deep gap (as in gap from front of tile to the wall behind it, not gap between tile and worktop)

Am I being stupid if fill the depth with silicon and make it flush with the tiles rather than having a 45 degree bead?

thanks

You struggle to fill a 10mm gap with silicone - stuff some closed cell foam piping into the gap a fewcmillumeyres below surface level, e.g. Fossa Caulk Saver, etc (from decorator centres) - then finish with silicone

Nothing wrong with flush if it looks OK to you. Hybrid polymer sealant sticks to itself. You can do multiple fill and cure cycles until satisfied.

Are all hybrid polymer sealants as good as each other?

After black with anti mould.

Screwfix no nonsense x8 £9.99
OB1 £14.99
Stixall £6.29
Evo Stik The dogs *****. £9.99

thanks
