Ive got the glass panels removed while doing some repair work on my conservatory frame and im wondering what type of sealant that i will need when refitting the glass.

Pics show the existing bead of sealant prior to removing the windows.

Can i use a general purpose silicone or will i require a specialist glazing sealant to do a proper job?

Thanks Rob

Any Clear/Translucent LOW MODULUS silicone will do , if you don't use Low Mod silicone it will eat away/melt the sealed unit sealant. Commonly see the silicone as LMN ( Low Modulus Neutral ), soewhere like Eurocell will sell it or even a local glaziers , just beware in the big DIY chains that you get the correct type
