Sealing around a bath

Hi, I am trying to find out how to seal around a bath that has already got a plastic bath seal.

My problem is the bath seal has now deteriorated (gaps underneath) and is fastened in behind tiles. I have tried using silicone sealant around the seal but it still leaks. Is there anything else I can use so that I do not have to start digging the bottom row of tiles out to get the seal out?

Multi tool to cut it out to the bath level. Then use quadrant over the top and seal.

Nice sharp stanley will cut it level with the tiles. Then a proper dry out & then clean with meths, leave to dry again then silicone as normal.
