have installed bath. Tiles NOT on yet. Aim to seal around bath, then tile, then seal again. will of course fill bath before filling/sealing

Problem is that we have one edge of about 30cm that has a gap between wall and bath of about 6mm.

gap isnt so big that tiles woud slip thru to floor but Im wondering what to seal it with??? The tile would be sitting just after the rounded edge of the bath lip.

Can silicone cope with such gaps? or fill with something else and silicone over that?

ideally want to avoid those edging strips around bath in the end

Hi.

Consider fitting a wooden batten for the far edge of your bath to 'sit' on.
Doesn't matter if you then seal with the bath full of water or not. It will be solid, and not cause you any sealing problems later.

Andy.
