I have just had my new patio laid, very happy with it and looks great. I had some coloured flags laid into it and the bloke who did the job for me said dry mix pointing will be fine, he didnt want to get any cement on the coloured flags. They are butted up pretty close and look nice, they are laid on decent hardcore and mortar

I was wondering is there any sort of sealant that I could cover the patio in to protect the pointing and flags themselves, or is it just better to leave them be?

depends what type of flags they are regarding sealing. dont understand why he didnt point them. depends on the type of paving and the gap between them, but in most cases dry brushing is a pile of ****e
