Search engines time out in Firefox??

But only on one laptop , all other pc,s/mac/tablet work fine and all other websites load effortlessly, Just cannot get search to complete on my laptop, tried reinstalling Firfox .Chrome works fine so only a firefox problem, ran spybot and ant-virus but no joy?

Yes, but so far no solution.

Sorted, downloaded hijacker software which cleared the problem.
