Hello all!

I'm going to put up a pine picture rail in our house, but how to secure to our brick/bonding/plaster wall? The rail is from wickes, where they say use no more nails for a clean finish...that is fine...but is it strong enough? Call me old fashioned, but I'd be worrying about it without a few screws in there! (can't seem to put nails in the walls without them bending or creating big cracks in the plaster).

So, would no more nails be strong enough????

Hey sam,

I wouldn't recommend the No More Nails brand as such, but a grab adhesive is usually fine on it's own. I would suggest something like Gripfill or Pinkgrip as far more reliable products.

However, I'm with you on liking to add a few screws here and there, especially if the picture rail is going to be used for hanging pictures rather than just decorative. ;)

or a mirror, which is extremely heavy.
