Hello,

Are bitumen-based self-adhesive flashing tapes suitable for use in contact with polycarbonate roof sheets? After some research I've found 'butyl flashing' mentioned as suitable for polycarbonate sheets. Does this mean that bitumen is not suitable and is in some way harmful to the polycarbonate?

Thanks,
Tom

I think its something to do with the oils in the bich not sticking to the poly, Also it kind of melts and moves in the very hot sun.

Butyl flashing is great, its like a white butyl rubber that sticks like poo to a blanket.
