self leveling how thick can you go

had a look at the stickies and it seems SLC can only go to 3mm deep, i have an old concrete floor which meets the new and i would say its about 20mm out over about a metre from were they meet. i am going to lay riven slate 600mm x 300mm tiles over it how level does it have to be.
does the floor need more than SLC.

ultra slc will go up to 50mm in one go. check out the instarmac website for full spec. i would get the floor as level as possible before laying any covering.
