Hi Guys,

We have a new build (7 months old). The heating was cleaned with X300 then X100 added.

The builders replaced a scratched towel radiator and I intend to upgrade one radiator in the hall which isn't powerful enough. Once I replace the hall radiator I want to properly clean the system.

Should I use X300 then X100 or X400 then X100 or something else?

I'm keen to do this anyway because I don't trust the builders to have cleaned it out properly.

Dont you have the magnet bowl cleaner fitted on the return to boiler?

They are not mandatory, but certainly standard practise to fit a filter,I thought some boiler manufacturers would not give guarantees without a filter fitted?.

That's why new builds boilers only usually have a 2year warranty, that can then be extended by fitting a mag filter

Thanks guys. I'm looking into it. Our boiler is in the kitchen and I think it will stick out the bottom of the cupboard so might loo a bit silly.
