series 155 water conditioner

hi all,can anybody tell me if it is ok to connect a series 155 water softener using copper instead of flexi pipes,the flexi pipes that are on it at the minute are too long and have been twisted and leak .If i can connect with copper pipe it will save me finding flexi's that are short enough which could be a problem,thanks for any replies
