Hi all,

Does anyone know what the difference is between Dewalt's "Series 40" and "Series 60" Mire Saw blades?

I have recently got a DW707 Cross Cut Mitre Saw which came with a 24 tooth Series 60 blade. Considering I make plastic picture frames the quality of the cut is amazing - making me think what an 80 tooth blade would be like for instance...!

I want to get Dewalt blades, as when I bought the saw I got two "supplier specific" 60 tooth blades with it but the cut is poor - even to the extent it throws a burr up on the edge. But this could be naivety on my part, as the rake on these blades could be wrong.

I was curious as to the difference between the Series 40 and 60 ones..?

Thanks,

Sean

from what I can see on google....

series 60 have anti-vibration slots but series 40 doesn't..

your problem with the burs is probably more to do with the tooth geometry than the type..
you want "mod TCG" for plastics.. not ATB
