it sounds like water is getting to the drawer but not going in. can only use cleaning products in the drum. live in very hard water area have tried to descale but still have the problem

Please expand - what sound leads you to believe that water is getting to the drawer?

And when you say "not going in", do you mean not into the drawer or not into the drum?

the water goes into the drum but the drawer is dry at end and conditioner left or wash tablets when have tried to use them. it sounds like water going into the drawer as you can hear water in the system.

Something's wrong with the outlet above the drawer then - maybe an accumulation of either scale or caked detergent.
