have removed the filter for cleaning and now it won't go back on. it just won't turn properly and so is leaking when used. has anyone got any ideas please? it's driving me mad!! have been fiddling about for the best part of the afternoon with it. thanks in advance.

Is this a screw in type filter

If so check the screw threads are completely clear of fud on the housing and the filter and that where the filter seal fits is clear as well (also where the water enters and exits the filter just incase something is just protruding out)

thanks for your reply. it is not a screw type, you just push it in and rotate twice but it just wont turn. maybe there is something caught inside to stop it. will try to get to the back to see. thanks again.
