Any component shorting or leaking to earth will trip the rcd switch favourites being motor or heater.
Try testing by elimination.Try motor first unplug motor then try switching on if the rcd does not trip then it indicates motor. then try unplugging heater and so on. Please remember unplug from mains before taking back off and before switching back on refit cover/back so no live parts are accessible.
also look for any signs of water getting into electrical parts, or chafed cables.
Do the easy bit first - examine the plug and flex for any signs of damage. Sometimes heavy appliances are put down on their flex and crush it.
