The spider has broken ( suspect lodger overloaded the drum with something unbalanced! ).

Hardly a worthwhile repair but if I could get a replacement then how long is it likely to take for me to replace the broken one?

I assume the fixings are all normal bolts etc ???

Thanks

Tony

General rule of thumb....it'll cost you the best part of a day, a new set of bearings (as well as a spider), a box of plasters, & a sizable donation to the swear-box. This is an economically questionable repair on virtually any washer, especially so on a Servis. It is a god-awful job to do first time around & you may hit unforeseen complications. All in all definitely not a job for the faint-heated. I would seriously consider scrapping it & buying a new one.

I think on Servis you usually have to buy the complete inner drum assembly which is very expensive.
