Hello everyone!

I've got the same problem as so many of the posts on here, an unlevel concrete floor.

Its an inconsistent fall toward the chimney breast and into a corner.

I'm going to level using a cement / Grano mix. To keep it away from the skirt and prevent DPC bridging I'm going to line the edge of the area with timber batons and level up to that.

I'm after a couple of tips:

Firstly does anyone have any tips for setting out at all and how I can keep the correct level? I was thinking about putting screws / nails in the floor and leveling them and using them as a marker? Can I stop the wood and cement bonding so I can pull it away??

Secondly is there any hot tips concerning laying the concrete? Any don't do's??

Thanks so much for your time.
