We have a sewerage treatment works at the end of the garden and it hums away to itself. I've noticed that in the evenings my smart meter is showing around 2kwh of load and the works seems to be a bit louder at this time.
I've turned every light/appliance off in the house and the load still remains.

Is the treatment works likely to be programmed to perform some function at a particular time? If so, can this be changed since we have loads of excess solar during the day.

Packaged Treatment Plants will need some kind of permanent power source, demand varies on the type of plant you have. Some have rotating baffles or a small compressor to pump air in to assist the process, and a water/effluent pump might be needed in some instances.

Make/Model of Plant would assist with helping you further.

The air pump is a Charles Austen ET 80. It's sitting next to what looks like a small consumer box, pic below.

Should be less than 80 watts power consumption, and usually run constantly. Is there anything else in or around the Plant you know of that could be drawing power?
