Shaver socket - faulty?

I had to go back to start, I had forgotten what I had said in 2009,
I promise I don't have to go back 15 years to forget replies on here, a little while ago another resurrected thread I started writing a reply then did the same as you to get the drift of the thread, only to find my original reply.
but that adaptor would have with a 13 amp fuse allow one to draw 13 amp even if plug rated 2.5 amp not sure where you can get a 2.5 amp fuse?
I have just looked at one on a Philips CD player it is marked as BS1363 3Amps max, The only one I've ever openedand contained a 2A 20mm fuse, I doubt it would last long carrying 13A as it's so flimsy. It was a pain to open the tamperproof screw.
But a shaver socket will only supply less than an amp.
I'd suggest more like <1/10A (100mA)
But really there should be a cut off point where posts back an edition of regulations are deleted as now likely wrong.
Food for thought
